The idea of FungiTube-treatment is to utilize the fungi and microbes as a treatment of contaminated soils. Fungi have ability in optimal conditions to degrade long-chained, difficultly degradable compounds, such as oil, PAH-compounds or dioxins to smaller molecules, so that naturally occurring microbes in the soil can continue degradation process. The fungi is chosen based on the qualities and the contaminants of sample. The growth of fungi and the decreasing amount of contaminants are monitored during the treatment process.

 

Enzymatic Mechanical Treatment (EMT) is a novel and innovative processing technology for lignocellulosic biomasses. It combines enzymatic and mechanical treatments for energy- and material efficient processes. EMT technology is applied in wood & fiber, lignofuel and biocomposite applications.
